Public pages do not set cookies or store identifiers in your browser. The page address selects English, German, French or Spanish. We use our own server-side page analytics, without external analytics services, tracking pixels or externally hosted fonts.

Page requests and technical data
For page analytics we store successful public page requests with date and time, page path, selected language, IP address, browser identification (User-Agent), and the browser, operating system and device type inferred from it. Referrals store only the referring website hostname. Search terms and URL query parameters are not stored in analytics. Only authenticated administrators can access these data. Records are automatically deleted after 30 days; expired records are excluded from reports until the next hourly cleanup. IP addresses may be personal data. Shared or changing IP addresses cannot reliably count people. We use no identifiers across visits and send no data to external analytics services. Requests with Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not recorded.
The technical processing necessary to provide and secure this service is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to operate a functioning status service protected against abuse.
Search and website suggestions
Search terms are processed to display matching services. We do not store a general search history. If you search for an unknown public web address, the normalized address, including any paths and query parameters entered, is saved as a website suggestion along with its domain, submission time and review status. Addresses containing embedded login credentials are rejected. Please do not enter addresses containing personal or confidential information. Suggestions are not linked to your IP address or a visitor profile. No status checks or metadata requests are performed before approval.
Suggestions are retained for review and to prevent repeated submissions. Approved websites and their measurements are stored for the status service. Where a domain contains personal information, processing serves our legitimate interest in developing and protecting the directory under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can request necessary deletion or correction using the contact details provided.
Protection against abuse
To limit new website suggestions, your connection address and a counter are temporarily processed in memory. The time window is one hour. For login attempts in the admin area, it is 15 minutes. Expired entries are cleared on subsequent corresponding requests; all entries are discarded when the web process stops. These data are not stored in the database or used for tracking. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is protection against spam and unauthorized login attempts.
My IP
When you open 'My IP', we display your connection address and technical information about your connection, browser and language. This request uses the same server-side analytics as other public pages. Time zone and window size are displayed only in your browser and are not transmitted. The page is not stored in a shared cache. No external IP lookup service is queried.
Necessary cookies in the admin area
Necessary security cookies are set only when you open the admin login. The iw_login_csrf cookie protects the login form and expires after 30 minutes. After a successful login, iw_session enables an authenticated session for up to twelve hours; logging out ends the session. These cookies are used exclusively for authentication and security. They are necessary for the expressly requested administrative function (Section 25(2), point 2 TDDDG). The associated processing secures the administration under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your email address, the details you provide and your message to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR or, for contract-related enquiries, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. The information is deleted once the enquiry has been fully handled, unless statutory retention requirements or necessary evidence require its retention.
On-demand website diagnostics
Diagnostic tools use the submitted public address only for the requested check. Our server connects to the website and queries DNS; comparisons send the hostname to Cloudflare and Google public DNS. Your visitor IP is not forwarded. Addresses and reports are not saved in the database; the browser can copy or download the report locally. To limit abuse, a connection-address counter is kept in server memory for 10 minutes, allowing 10 checks per window. Expired counters are cleared on subsequent checks or when the process stops. Tool landing pages use the page analytics described above; submitted diagnostic results are not included.
External websites
Opening a link to a monitored provider takes you away from this service. The destination website is covered by its operator's privacy notice. Automated status checks and metadata requests are made from our server and do not transmit your visitor IP address to the monitored providers.
Your rights
Where we process your personal data, you have rights under the GDPR to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and, where applicable, data portability. You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. Please use the contact details above to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly where you habitually reside, work or where the alleged infringement took place.
